Answer 1: Nothing. That's why it's jail. Prisoners are in jail as punishment for their crimes, not for a vacation.

Answer 2: Been to jail . that's not true. honor facility prisoners get outdoor rec . i played organized Baseball while in jail at RCCC. lock down prisoners can play cards usually play piconole or spades. they can also watch tv. read a book .

Answer 3: I've been to county jail a few times. It's really not that bad. If the judge approves of it, you can even go to work or community service every day. The food isn't that bad, plus there are vending machines if you get hungry. There is a work-out area and a library. We get the newspaper everyday. During the day, we watch movies, tv shows, and play games. There is a small kitchen area to make chili or raeman, and a game cabinet with Scrabble, Monopoly, Risk, and more. There is a nice, newer bathroom with private showers and stalls. All the inmates are pretty chill too, friends are very easy to make. Everyone that is in there, just wants to pass the time and hang out. On Wednesday mornings we get biscuits and gravy for breakfast! Jail is kind of like a little crappy vacation. The jail I go to is $18 a day. I get to use Suave shampoo, Irish Springs soap bar, Crest toothpaste and toothbrush, and there are fresh towels everyday. I usually bring 6 or 7 sets of clothes, a pair of shoes, and a pair of sandals to wear in the shower. We even have nap time from 12:15PM to 1:30PM. Lock-down is from 10:15PM to 7:30AM. So yeah, jail really isn't that bad, I would much prefer to not be in jail, but the time I've spent in there is actually kind of fun and goes by pretty quick.

I would think that would depend on several things. Such as: Why you are in jail? Is whatever caused you to go to jail a danger to the child? How long will you be in jail? I would ask to talk with an officer about the situation and ask to talk to a social worker about it to.

What does that it mean to have a jail sentence of 8 to 20 years?

It means that you have to go to jail for a minimum of 8 years, but won't have to be in jail more than 20 years. There are things that can change this, parole can make it shorter, while committing a crime in jail (like murder) can lengthen it.
