The three main ideas of Christianity are. . . That depends on what you mean by "Christianity," but assuming you mean Biblical Christianity. . . 1. That God is holy. Not holy in some contrite, stuffy, spiritual sort of way, but holy as in so pure that the smallest misdeed, the whitest lie, the tiniest indiscretion is magnified thousands of times against the purity of His holiness and must be punished mercilessly. Biblically, this punishment is death. (Romans 6:23) 2. Man is not holy. Usually this is stated by saying that man is sinful. All this means is that each one of us has at some point done something that, in view of God's holiness is unacceptible and must be punished with death. (Romans 3:23) 3 Finally the good news. God stepped in and paid the price of death (and then conquered death itself) for the sins of humanity so that they may not only live, but be with Him. This was accomplished when Jesus, who is both fully God (perfect) and fully man (able to die for sin) was crucified and resurrected. All who believe in Him and accept His sacrifice in payment for their sins will be saved. (John 3:16; Romans 10:13)

1.God is the only one & true god 2. Jesus is the son of God 3.Christians believe in the trinity that is God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost.

Continuing answerThe doctrine of the Trinity is very important for the Christian. We can also look at it from a life perspective:
  1. Repent of your past sins, and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. From this you will gain eternal life.
  2. Seek to live a life governed by Jesus' teachings.
  3. If you sin, ask God to forgive you and he will. His forgiveness means that you do not have to give up if you fail, but it allows you to keep striving to live according to Jesus' way.

The earliest Christians did not say they were following Christianity, but they were following "The Way." They meant by this either that they were following the way of salvation (i.e. to eternal life), or the way that Jesus had taught them to live, perhaps both.
