It can also be caused by restriction of the blood flow in the arm, especially at the elbow, which could be caused by misalignment while typing on a keyboard or overuse of a computer mouse.

∙ 15y agoIt could be a circulation problem. Or else there is a condition known as carpel tunnel syndrome that starts that way eventually it can get so bad that it will need to be fixed.
