Let it take time. You didn't put it on overnight, so don't expect to shed it overnight. You need a lifestyle change, and it takes time fo new, healthier habits to form. But if you stick with something like weightwatchers you should be able to do it within two years.

Bottom line is that you need to control what you eat, the foods we have available today are so high in energy that it's really easy to overeat.
