Talking to someone is not a crime in any state, or in the military (unless directed to refrain from talking to that person by competant aurthority). The UCMJ does not have an article to address this issue either. The other part of this is the othAcademic Discharge from the Air Force - benefits?erson prosecuting you for it. Just like in the civilian world, we have lawyers and judges in the military. We also have commanders. It is a commander who must do the prosecuting of any crime committed by his or her personnel. This can either be done through Article 15 of the UCMJ, or by Courts Martial, both of which require proof of guilt. Your average military member is not in the position of commander, and can not prosecute somer one for anything.
