Some might describe Alexander Hamilton as a ladies' man; others would say he was a common womanizer. Hamilton had numerous affairs but wasn't always cautious about whom he chose as a partner. Once, a married woman and her husband extorted quite a bit of money from Hamilton by threatening him with physical harm and by exposing his affairs to his wife.

Previous answer: "Obviously not, they were very against gays in those times."

This does not answer the question. Plenty of homosexuals lived in times -- and indeed currently live in places -- that were/are "very against gays."

There is substantial evidence in Hamilton's letters to his close friends and compatriots that he did indeed have very close affection, and perhaps romantic feelings, for other men.

Most especially interesting was his relationship with JOHN LAURENS, about which those interested can learn more simply be googling.
