∙ 8y agoThough The Bible or even Jewish tradition does not tell us wither or not Daniel was a Levite (of the tribe of Levi, one of Jacob/Israel's twelve sons). It is likely that he was of the tribe of Judea, since they were the tribe which the kings descended from. And in Babylon that was sort of Daniel role, a leader and ruler.

∙ 10y agoNo. The Bible specifically states that he is of the Tribe of Ephraim. This is made clear in both Numbers 13:8 and 1 Chronicles 7:20, 27.
