Yes, Stuck (starring Stephen Rea and Mena Suvari) is based on the true story of a 25-year-old woman from Texas, named Chante Mallard, who hit a homeless man with her car while she was drunk and high on Ecstasy.

The man went through her windshield and became lodged there, badly injured but still alive. She drove all the way home, parked her car in the garage, and then waited for him to die before calling upon some friends to help her dispose of the body.
