NZ population about 10% of Canada, 3.5 million +/-. Strong native (Maori) population. Strong historical traditions, not as much the melting-pot (yet). 80% of the total population lives on the "North"
"The Great White Cloud", according to Polynesian legend, because of the mountains. NZ is small in square miles but not in heart. I live in Canada, been around a large chunk of this planet. I've visited NZ for a long period, and I may, lotto willing, retire there yet. Not a bad recommendation. Damn good beer, lousy ice hockey. World Class Rugby. Go the Blacks. Beautiful and kind women. Earthy but honest men.
