It is illegal to get rid of mockingbirds because they are protected by the Migratory Bird Act.

Answer:

Why would you want to get rid of them? You should enjoy them. Yes they may get anoying, but, its nature, what can you do? Its really hard to get rid of them, no i don't mean kill them, that's illegal. Try to read books about them, maybe then you can find a way to drive them off. but if that does not work, then don't be mad at them, enjoy them!

You just adopted two older birds When you feed them fruits broccoli or eggs they do not touch them They will only eat seeds What should you do?

It would appear the birds were only fed a seed diet and aren't used to getting any other foods offered. You will just have to keep trying with fresh foods. It can take weeks for them to adjust. A seed diet is very unhealthy for birds. Seed should only make up 30% of a birds diet. Until you can get them to vary their diet, give them vitamins for birds and a calcium supplement from your pet store to keep them healthy. Try feeding them cooked rice or cream of wheat. Most birds will eat those. Mine loves grapes. Since they're not used to eating them, cut the grapes in half. Mine will not eat the outer skin of a grape. When they get used to them they will peel the grape themselves. Gives them something to occupy themselves with during their day. Keep offering them a variety of different foods til they get used to it. One thing you may want to try is to take a bowl of chopped fruits to the cage. Give part of it to the birds and stand there and eat the other part yourself, just to get the bird interested. My cockatoo always thinks what I'm eating is more interesting than what she may be getting. Birds are very social animals and parrots especially like to mimic what they see.

This is a common misconception due to the owl always being depicted as wise in human culture. In actuality, owls are pretty much on the same intellectual level as most other raptors and birds, if not less intelligent on certain occasions. They can be used in falconry though, which requires intelligence for the bird to learn what the falconer wants of it, but owls do not always make the best falconry birds.

How much energy does owls use?

It depends on the owl. Most owls and birds don't think much of flying. flying isn't for fun, its for life. most birds just glide and flap their wings, but that's for hibernating and seeing other birds, getting away from predators and for food. Birds don't want to use up their energy. for example, if predators were chasing you and you try to get away, but oh no! no energy left to get away! wouldn't you wish you hadn't used up your energy earlier? flying may be exiting for us.. but to them it usual, so they don't do it for fun, but for living.
