Western Field was a brand name used by Montgomery Ward department store. he guns were made by many different manufacturers.

The Wards Mod.30-SB562A is actually a Stevens 520. This is the "A" style receiver with different tang lengths than original 520 model. A replacement barrel for the 520 will not fit properly the 520"A" receiver because threaded end is shorter.
