The National Language of Afghanistan is Pashto also called Pakhtu, Afghani according to the ethics groups of Afghanistan More than 42-60% population of Afghanistan is Pashtun which there native Language is Pashto .during the 1934 Pashto become National Language of Afghanistan, the National Anthem is in Pashto Language all the Gov documents are been wrote in Pashto the army language is in pashto .

yes they speak arabic.. but the rest of the "stans" countries do not

Wrong they speak dri. some very some towns speak arabic, but for the most part no. Ever muslum speaks some arabic because there book is in arabic. I speak more arabic than the average afghan and i dont know that much.

However as per Educational porpuse and Islamic Studies base Most of our religious scholars and Student of Arabic Faculties can speak Arabic
