The guitar belongs to the chordophone family of instruments, the largest family, and there is plenty to choose from. Probably the best known guitar lookalikes are the lute, the mandolin or the Ukulele. If you're looking to play something of a similar tonal range, try the mandola.

if you mean playing an instrument it is very helpful to start at a young age.your teachers help you learn the basics slowly and you might decide to change you instrument down the road.i've played the recorder,Clarinet and Flute.i personaly love the flute compred to the other two.playing an instrument is a lot of fun!!!hope i helped
