Labor laws in the United States vary from state to state in terms of minimum age requirements to gain employment. Typically, a young adult must be at least 15 years of age, and have written/oral permission from their parent(s) or legal guardian to be employed. On top of that requirement, there are limited work hours that a minor (person/s under the age of 18 are allowed to work - so as to keep such individuals current with their education requirements). If a young adult is under the age of 18 and has legally been declared "emancipated" by the parents, then that young adult can pursue employment that he or she may be qualified for free of will. The other alternative that a lot of young people resort too from the ages of 10 or so is acquiring a paper route. Although such a job doesn't pay much, it would allow you to earn some money while giving you most of your time to devote to educational pursuits.
Well, I do know for a fact that the Sonic on Kaliste Saloom (sp?) will hire 15 year olds because a lot of my friends work there. So I'm guessing Sonic is a safe bet. Then another place to work would be Texas Road House on Ambassador Caffery, one guy in my math class works there and he just turned 15 this past summer so you could work there. You could probably work in Wal Mart because they are looking for new people to work there. Basically check the fast food places. Answer: At McDonalds.
You are able to work certain non-hazardous jobs when you are 14 years of age in Louisiana, but only for a few hours a day. When you turn 16, there are no restriction on the amount of hours you can work each day, but there are still restrictions on the jobs you are able to work.
I'm fifteen & no one is hiring at this age, even if its only five weeks away like mines ! I've been looking for one ever since march 31st then i started calling around once school let out. Blue Bayou has favoritism & they are not checking their online applications so if they told you they were their lying ! And also chick-fil-a does not hire at fifteen so thats a lie to. If you are fifteen the best thing to do is voluntary work or work in a friend or families business so you can put it on your application when you're sixteen.
