yes u can ,with the ps3 u get a usb wire u can ethier connet it with a PC and transfer the data to the ps3 console or transfer the data to a usb and then transfer it to the ps3 console same thing on xbox 360(elite)
You can put the game save data onto an external USB drive
you can link the servers of the ps3 to xbox 1 and transfer data.
You will still have all of your online data and stats, but any offline data will be lost unless you transfer it via jumpdrive OR remove the hard drive from the original PS3 and insert it into the new PS3. You will be able to see the trophies if you access them on the friends list, but if you look under the game menu you wont be able to see them.
it can but you have to find out how to get data from xbox 360 to ps3
You don't
yes, but only if you had a ps1 memory card.
The PS3 automatically updates games when you are online. This is another reason to get an online connection for the PS3.
You can still use it only the games and PS3 will not be able to get online updates and you will of course not be able to play Online games
Your account data transfers when you log into your account and should include trophies, however you want to know how to transfer what is on your harddrive and the time has passed. You needed to download your old hard drive information to transfer it. You can go to your Playstation Store account and download all of your earlier downloads from the Playstation Store skipping ones you no longer want like demos of games that did not interest you.
