18 or as long as the child lives in the parent's home. I believe legally that would be whatever the legal age for your state is. However, as long as a teen is living under the same roof as the parents, the teen should respect them enough to obey their rules. Parents have many reasons for making the decisions they do, not the least of which is to protect their child. I'm way beyond my teenage years and I understand much more about why my parents made some of their decisions concerning what they did and did not allow me to do. I've also learned that obeying your parents rules actually gains the respect of your friends if they are worth having as friends at all. * 18 is the legal age of majority in all states with the exception of Nebraska where it is 19.

seriously if your popping out to the shop or round the corner you can leave you child that's 11. but if your going out for the night i would personally say 14 or 15. and im 15 and im saying this because its scary if you hear a noise.

im 11 and i stay home alone all the time. The reason is that I have taken my home alone course and i am legally aloud.

usually you have to be round about the age of 10 or 11. I let my kids out for 2 hours at the most before they get to the age of 12 then they can go out but with permission. When they turn 16 they can go out when they need or want to.

What is the legal age that children can stop going to school?

In the U.S. the current legal age to quit or drop out of school is 16, however in some states it depends on the situation. If a person has physical or mental disabilities that require special care home schooling can be available. Another example is if teen pregnancy occurs.States establish compulsory education laws, therefore the age differs. However, no student can leave school before the age of 18 without permission of their parents or legal guardian. - Nebraska's current legal age to quit or drop out of school is 16, however permission from parents or legal guardian is required.
