There were no fixed ages for marriage that I am aware of. I know that people married very young, especially members of the royalty, sometimes as young as six or seven years old. Mary, Queen of Scots was married at six.

Early marriages were really only done where there were political reasons to do them, for example to align two nations, and so were parts of treaties. For most people to get married, a person had to show a quality that would attract a partner, such as an ability to make money or keep house. In much of Europe of the Middle Ages, peasant men and women married after the man had shown an ability to provide for a family and the woman had accumulated a dowry. This was typically about the age of twenty five.

What records we have show that prior to the Black Death most people got married at about 25. This was because the poorer women wanted to save as much as they could of their own income for a dowry, and men wanted to prove they were capable of making an income; in both cases, the goal was to make themselves more attractive to the best mate. After the Black Death, which was just about in the middle of the 14th century, people tended to marry younger.

Among the wealthy middle class, the nobility, and the royalty, marriages were much more often arranged affairs based on questions of wealth, rank, and dynastic alliances. These marriages could be contracted at very early ages, and could take place when people were as young as six or eight, though the normal age was into the teens.
