The Kosovo war was a war against Serbia's agression toward all non-Serb nations in the region.
Kosovo is Republic of two million ethnic Albanians. Before it was known as "Kosovo i mehohija" from Serbian historic records. In ancient times, Kosovo was part of Illyria… (illyrians-forefathers of today's Albanians) known as Dardania.
Kosovo became independent because its Albanian government installed by the USA and NATO after the war decided it wanted to be independent from Serbia despite UN resolutions op…posing this, the opposition of the Serbian minority in Kosovo and the opposition of Serbia, many surrounding countries and other countries in the European Union. Its independence is recognized by barely a quarter of countries around the world.
albanians 92 % , serbians 5 % and the rest roma and Turks
Kosovo is today mostly controlled by KLA or Kosovo Liberation Army.KLA is an albanian terrorist group, today supported by US and NATO,based on religious and ethnic hatred towa…rds Serbs and Greeks, andhas on many occasions committed genocide against those ethnicgroups. When in 1998 Serbian Armed Forces attempted to attack the KLA whowere at that point harassing and slaughtering both Serbs andAlbanians in Kosovo, NATO bombed the Republic of Serbia. Eventually the Armed Forces had to retreat from Kosovo as thebombings were intentionally killing civilians. In 2008 Kosovo declared independence, which was supported by mostcountries of NATO, but rejected as illegal by most world nations.China, Brazil and Russia strongly opposed the US support to aterrorist group, and a few days later Russian Armed Forces arrivedto Kosovo, pushing the UN and US "peace forces" to leave mostsections of Kosovo. Today the question of Kosovo remainsunresolved, but it does not, and will never have independence.
Kosovos main allies are most of European countries, like Germany, France, Italy, Netherlands, Sweden, Swiss, Austria, etc, exuding Greece, Spain. Also US, Canada, Australia, J…apan are main allies to Kosovo
The enemies of Kosovo are primarily the KLA terrorists, the Albanian government and their supporters. The KLA has effectively occupied the Serbian land of Kosovo, terrorizing …both the Albanian and non-Albanian population. At this point the Kosovo Police, a group of KLA, has established presence in most parts of Kosovo. Serbian Gendarmerie still patrols the regions borders, in order to stop any attemt of KLA to overrun Serbia.
