Depending on their condition, they are worth abt. .20cents each. However, this is the catalogue price, there are so many around, it's unlikely you'll find anyone willing to pay that much.
12 cents
Susan B. Anthony stamps are still worth the value printed on the stamp. US postage stamps never expire -- they can always be used for postage for at least the amount they sold for. The new forever stamp and the breast cancer stamp can be used for first class postage regardless of what you paid for them. However they are not corrected for inflation. It takes 14 of the 3-cent first class stamps you may have bought in 1955 to mail a letter today.
Scott Number 784 Minimal value for this stamp indicates that the cost is in packaging and tracking and not the stamp itself. A dealer isn't going to be interested in purchasing a single copy. You would be better to use it for postage rather than trying to sell it. Or trade with another collector!
The first African-American woman honored on her own stamp was Harriet Tubman in 1978. Some of the letter-sorters shown on a 1973 stamp appear to black women.
This stamp is still quite common, but I would hesitate to use it on letters, except to someone who might appreciate it. It should be worth more than 3 cents, but it would hard to find a buyer. I think in another 10 years, dealers may be paying 10 cents for it. Used , your stamp has negligible value ( less than 2o cent retail) , but please do not throw it away! Keep it in your stamp collection for your children or yourself when you have more time. If you have more than one, you may be able to trade it for stamps of similar value. Or give it to a collector friend. Collectors always appreciate the thought even it they do not need the stamp. .
it aroused revolutionary fervor among many ordinary American men and women
