∙ 11y agoAs ironic as it may be, Julius Caesar is most famous for his death. Almost everyone has heard of the ides of March. They may not know its meaning, but they have heard the phrase. Secondary things that made Julius Caesar famous were his conquest of Gaul, his writing of his commentaries on the wars in Gaul, his reformation of the calendar, his affair with Cleopatra, and his famous veni, vidi, vinci, after battle of Zela.

∙ 11y agoAugustus Caesar was made famous by his life from the age of 18 to his death at age 76. There are too many positives concerning him to finger one thing as making him famous. However some of the things he did were: rebuilding the city of Rome, gaining sole control of the government and establishing the principate, reorganizing the army, organizing the city of Rome into wards, establishing a police and fire brigade, and trying to encourage family values.
