Since dolphins are highly intelligent humans can use them in the millatary and the navy. Dolphins help locate lost divers, under water buried mines, coral rock or debris in shallow cluttered waters.

Yes.Apparently dolphins are use to detect mines. The navy trains them because they have a sophisticated ability that no other machines has ever made to replace their sensory ability. Dolphins have an ability call sonar, known as echolocation. This technique is what makes them special and the fact that they they easily learn efficiently and adapt to the training because of course we all know that dolphins are intelligent. I guess dolphins are more then just entertainment.
There is no Navy rate or rank "SW"; SW is a warfare specialty designation that stands for Surface Warfare, or one who has completed qualifications for the SW badge. It's equivalent to a submariner's dolphins badge, or an aviator's wings.
