Best Answer

'Deity' is basically a fancy word for God or other divine being. Atheist means without theism or religion. So an atheist is somebody who does not believe in god. They do not believe in any deities at all.

The reason an atheist does not consider the existence of gods a possibility is that there is no evidence for any. Atheists, like all people everywhere should, take that last sentence and analyse it and realise that therefore a god cannot be considered to be real. Anything can only be considered to be real if there is evidence.

Short answer: There are no atheist deities by definition.

Is Objectivism a necessarily atheist philosophy?

Ayn Rand insisted that it was. She viewed Christian charity as weakness and foolishness.Answer:There is no canon of needed atheist beliefs. Aside from the fact that, by definition, atheists do not accept the existence of deities there is no further list of how they must behave, relate to others, society, nature or anything. Some atheists may hold opinions in direct opposition to other atheists. This does not stop them from being atheists or even be classed as a subset of atheist.

Is atheism connected to ethnic cleansing?

Atheism is the lack of belief in deities and is not connected to ethnic cleansing at all. Ethnic cleansing could be believed to be something a deity calls for so, in that manner, theism (belief in deities) is more connected to ethnic cleansing than atheism. It's possible for atheists to engage in ethnic cleansing but they do it for reasons other than atheism.
