Chapter 1: the main character Nathan has to watch the lighthouse while his father and mother rest. A ship the M.S Burmby(not sure if i spelled that right) is heading right for the edge of the cliff but the father Zachery McAllister comes and waves to the helmsman to turns the ship areound. When the ship is gone Nathan and his father both notice that they were headed toward to barely submerged Jones Rock.
the next day they find out that the M.S Burmby was sunk on jones rock with 14 bodies and one set of footprints on the shore.
