When his impressionist style was new, nobody accepted it. After a couple of decades, though, he could sell his works.
There were no fun facts. He was just a stupid boring man, but I do like him , he is hot.
Don't agree: I cannot give you ten fun facts, but there is something, after all:
1: he hated school, was a rebel, and instead of working or paying attention he preferred to doodle caricatures of the poor teachers
2: during a family picnic he organized a drawing competitions. Guess who won - Monet, of course!
3: everybody in the city Le Havre marveled his caricatures and paid for his drawings. Had he not met a landscape painter Eugene Boudin, who knows, maybe he might have been a well known caricaturist
4: once he took his brush, the whole world simply ceased to exist. Once he was painting on a beach at Étretat and he wrote to his wife: "I took no notice of the waves which came and fell a few feet away from me. In short, absorbed as I was, I didn't see a huge wave coming; it threw me against the cliff and I was tossed about in its wake with all my materials!"
Claude Monet was very interesting because he painted. as u and i know, we all love painting, and monet started impressionism, which is a certain art style. MONET WAS AWESOME.
he was drafted in the army in 1860 and was sent to northern Africa
in 1907 he started to have bad eyesight and it was harde for him to paint
