Blue/Red stripe = Permanent +12V (Blaupunkt's Yellow) Yel…low/Blue stripe = Ignition (Blaupunkt's Red) Purple = Illumination (Blaupunkt's Orange) Blue/White stripe = Auto Antenna (Blaupunkt's Blue) Black = Ground (Blaupunkt's Black) If you have an amplifier, Blaupunkt's switched 12V Remote wire is found in the Line Out harness, the Blue/Yellow stripe wire. You may want to invest in a factory service manual which has full wiring diagrams along with a wealth of information for anyone who works on their own car. Found one on eBay f…or about $8, comes in a .pdf format so you can use it the same day as you order it.
Yes, I am told that is how you know where to connect the wires.
don't even try to cut them you need a special wire harness to change out the radio cause its in the trunk hard to do

There are two types of pin connectors used in the older Sony car stereo's a 9 pin connector and a 16 pin connector. The pink wire is the Power Antennae Relay, green is the left rear speaker, red is the left front speaker, white is the right front speaker, yellow is the right rear speake…r, green/black is the illumination, blue/black is the ACC/ON power, black is the ground, orange is the left rear speaker, blue is the left front speaker, black is the right front speaker, black is the right rear speaker, green/orange is the illumination, and grey is the memory power.
The colors are: Car Radio Battery (White/Red), ground wire (Black/Blue), antenna trigger (Yellow/Green), and amp trigger (Purple/Red). Car stereo wiring color codes for a Mustang can be seen on a diagram. The diagram may be found in an owner manual or request from the stereo company.
there are a number of stereo wires but if you are installing a new stereo, it is worth buying the installation kit.it comes with a harness that will match all wires.

They're all wired for ISO, so just get the adapter for your brand of stereo to ISO instead.
Typically they are blue or yellow. I freely admit that I haven't installed every type of deck there is though. They are also usually labelled, so the color rea…lly isn't the primary source of identification.
