What elements are contained in each macromolecule?

Common macromolecules are hydro-carbon (hydrogen and carbon polymerized to macromolecules). For single element macro molecules, the example is carbon nanotubes.

Which are the physical properties of carbon nanotubes?

Strength:Carbon nanotubes are the strongest and stiffest materials yet discovered in terms of tensile strength and elastic modulus respectively.Hardness:Standard single-walled carbon nanotubes can withstand a pressure up to 25 GPa without deformation.

Are nanotubes more similar to diamonds or graphite?

According to Wikipedia: "The bulk modulus of superhard phase nanotubes is 462 to 546 GPa, even higher than that of diamond (420 GPa for single diamond crystal)." Note that diamonds are natural minerals; nanotubes are fabricated, making diamond the hardest known natural substance. You can read more about nanotubes, below.

Who invented nanotube?

Although there are numerous instances of people observing carbon nanotubes, most literature credits Sumio Iijima as the discoverer of carbon nanotubes.
