They're called polysaccharides and they exhibit a great diversity of form and composition.

Examples include amylopectin and amylose found as starch in plants and glycogen found in animals all used for secondary energy storage. Together with cellulose, which is also a polysaccharide, these are the most common polysaccharides but there are many others.

What is the monomer of the polymer starch?

If starch is the polymer, then the monomer is glucose, which is a monosaccharide. Starch is a polysaccharide that is made up of glucose molecules.

What nutrients did get from starch?

Starch is a polymer of glucose molecules. You get sugar from it.

What kind of polysaccharide is found in plant walls and most abundant polymer on earth?

Cellulose. Cellulose is a polymer of glucose molecules. It is different from starch or glycogen due to the type of bond between the glucose molecules.

What is the storage molecule made by glucose in plants?

Starch. Plants use the excess glucose to form starch molecules

Is cellulose a carbohydrate made of many lipids?

no glucose molecules!and cellulose is a polymer

What is the monomer of glucose?

Glucose itself is a monomer of both sugar and starch. A monomer is a component of a polymer; in other words, many monomers come together to form a polymer. In the glucose example, many glucose molecules can come together to form complex carbohydrates- the polymer of glucose. Source: AP Biology
