"Scene" girls aren't often carrying round bags, either. If you're going out, all you need is some money and your phone! However, flat, fold-out purses can be hard to stick in your pocket, so you'll just have to carry it in your hand or under your arm.
But BTW, I would stick with the things you like and feel comfortable in. Just because "being scene" is considered cool, it doesn't mean you have to go out of your comfort range just to be cool.
