These brownish spots are a fungus. Dark, sweaty areas are most likely places for this problem. Everyone has fungus in their bodies. I am not sure if it is a worse problem, but I cannot get rid of mine. Dermatologist, Desitin, anti-fungal cream. I can't get rid of it. Maybe reduce sugar instake and keep the area dry and clean will help. It seems to help me. I have the exact same problem and I am pretty sure it has nothing to do with my age or being active.

I had these. Try going to the doctor, I got medicated anti-dandruff shampoo. (Selenium Sulfide) Worked very well. My skin cleared up after a week. Lather on patches, leave for 10 minutes, rinse. I think you can pick up shampoo like that from a chemist...The brand name is SELSUN.
