Here are the basic points that I used for my GCSE coursework...
· Computers can form calculations quickly and efficiently
· They use up less room
· Data can be retrieved quickly and easily
· Security is tight and hard to break into.
· Documents that are lost can often be retrieved
· Mistakes and changes made can be corrected or changed easily by using the backspace or delete keys rather than the whole document being redone.
These obviouslyaren't all of them but the list is propbably endless!!
Computerised work offers the advantage of being completed faster, as well as not having the hassle of taking too much physical space when it comes to storage. However, manual work is more reliable as computerised work can be lost if the system is corrupted or during power shortages.
data processing by electronic devices espessialy by computers is very fast compared to manual data processing.computer data processing is accurate ,diligient, time saving etc also they can be saved in the computers memory for a long time without any damage or lose of data
computers are like blackboards
or perhaps chalk paintings on a sidewalk
anything in either case can be changed with absolutely no way to ascertain when or where the change was made
Record is not a term associated with temporary magnets or charged capicitors
manual records are made with blue black ink on paper
they cant be altered without leaving traces
the blue black ink is iron based starts off blue and turns black after a few years in air, it penetrates and permeates the paper, you can tell how old it is from the color.
to change it you must remove all the cotton and wood fibers to the depth of penetration and reweave them with identically aged fibers then rewrite
with a proper ink that has been treated to appear as old as the original document in such a way so the aging will progress at the same rate.
Data processing is an important aspect of modern-day businesses. Generally, data processing is classified into two categories i.e. electronic data processing and manual data processing. Both have their own advantages and disadvantages: Electronic data processing has the advantage of being fast and automatic as it involves the use of computer systems. The disadvantages of EDP are excessive dependency on machines and lack of human insights. Manual data processing is considerably slower than electronic data processing and requires large number of human resources. But, it has the advantage of direct human supervision that can help in identification of certain critical errors that machines cannot catch.
manual systems are easier to understand as you do not need computer knowledge
on data base you can add more columns whenever you want.
they are easy to transfer
they are easy to access
they can store a large amount of information
they are convenient to carry
they have few or no
I dont no u tell me noob
The advantage of computer over manual systems
What are the important of electronic data processing and manual data processing? What_are_the_importants_of_electronic_data_processing_and_manual_data_processing
Advantages- Speed- Analyse large amounts of data- Takes less timeDisadvantages- Complexity of the code can cause problems- Programs are liable to bugs which may effect the dataThese are but a few reasons
Manual Data Processing is Done by hands and their is no use of computers in this, on the other hand in EDP, Computers are used and this is more reliable and fast as compared to Manual Data Processing... EDP is less time consuming, less costly, more relaible, more accurate, faster as compared to manual data processing...... Naveed Rehman Pakistan Manual Data Processing is Done by hands and their is no use of electicity in this, on the other hand in EDP, electricity is used.

This principle makes use of a semi-automated device like calculator, electronic, typewriter, adding machine for data processing.
Advantages: Economic. Once an Electronic Data Processing system is created and implemented, over time it reduced the costs of managing data by a significant margin. Reduced Labor. Duplication of effort and repeated entries due to mistakes in manual data entry are reduced or eliminated by EDP.

A manual database is MANUAL and an electronic is electronic LOL! Simple :P
A manual database is MANUAL and an electronic is electronic LOL! Simple :P
One advantage of a manual file is the fact that you will always have a backup to electronic data. A disadvantage to having a manual file is the fact that it may be many filing cabinets of information and hard to find the information needed.
