Hardware: The physical components that make up a computer. Technically speaking, if you can physically touch a part with your bare hands, it is hardware. This includes every component that makes up a computer, from the CPU, to the RAM, and even the keyboard.
Software: The logical components that make up a computer, and is "executed" by hardware (primarily the CPU). While you can touch the hardware the software is stored in, you can't actually touch the software, since it is a series of binary ones and zeros inside the computer's hard drives, RAM, CPU, cache, etc. Some examples are MS Word, Adobe Reader, Avast Antivirus, OpenOffice, and many more.
Hardware and Software are to main components of a computer system. Hardware refers to the physical components like Keyboard, Mouse, CPU, Hard disk etc. Software refers to the logical components like ROM , ms word , ms office etc.
Short notes on Hardware, Software, Binary and Utilities
A few examples of hardware are the monitor and the mouse. The hardware is the physical pieces of the computer. The software is the applications and programs on the computer.
Uttering a speech command or performing a mouse gesture refers to some of the hardware and software elements of the human-computer interface. The VCR and the mouse are examples of the hardware elements.
Some software are dependent and others are not. A webcam software is dependent on the hardware.
A VDU is hardware.
Usually software but some hardware firewall devices are produced.

Questions about upcoming releases of software or products, or questions about personal or company experience with supporting particular hardware or software.
Dataware is a dramatic change in handling serials has been brought about by the availability of adequate and affordable hardware, software and dataware
A fax machine is hardware. It has some software that runs it, but that is typical of most hardware these days.
Here are some examples of computer hardware:Computer caseCPUCPU coolerDVD burnerFloppy driveHard driveHard drive controllerKeyboardModemMonitorMotherboardMouseNetwork cardPower supplyPrinterRAMRouterSpeakersUSB driveVideo cardIf you want to be technical, even computer media can be considered hardware. So floppies, DVDs, CDs, and other storage media are hardware. Hardware are all the physical, tangible parts of a computer. Software is an invisible representation of ideas and code. So a CD is hardware, but a CD program is software.
A scanner is both hardware and software, the device itself is hardware (all devices are hardware) but the driver(a program) that runs it is software.
