Many boys in my grade read the Lightning Thief series which they all love. Some read Harry Potter, the Mike Lupica books, and there is another easy read sports series but it may be a little young for a seventh grader.

There are a lot of good teen books out there, but some really good ones are Alyzon Whitestarr, The Hermit Thrush Sings, and The Clique.
The Hobbit and its sequels are good. Harry Potter is a nice series as well. Girls like Twilight and boys like those sports books. (Eyeshield 21) But really, it's your taste.
Richard Paul has some good teen books. He has books like Michael Vey. This book is good to be read by teenagers. Not only are these books available, it's an ongoing series and some books are soon to be released.
