I've been attending community college for about 5 years now. (One class per semester)
By far the classes with the highest percentage of women are the nursing courses. That is followed by child education, then psychology.
The lowest percentage of women was in my chemistry class, followed closely by History of Film.
The 'standard' courses such as math and English tend to represent the student body most accurately- even then, that means about 60% of the students are female.

∙ 12y agoYour local community college will offer classes in vocational areas and in general education classes. If you want to learn a field in vocational education you can take classes from dental assistant to automotive repair. If you want to start a degree program it is a good place to get your general education classes done for a lower cost. Call your local college and get a class schedule for this summer or fall terms. Get a catalog and it will give you all the things you can do/take in the college. Go for it.

∙ 14y agoGenerally, community colleges offer Associates degrees and possibly trade-school certifications. You can sometimes use the credits earned to transfer to a four-year college, though.
