No, we don't eat polar bears. I'm sure up near Barrow some people might, but the majority of Alaskans do not. People in Alaska eat what people all over the US generally eat. However, hunting game for food is also a normal activity. We eat fish, moose, bear, caribou, duck, rabbit... etc.

Alaska isn't as primitive as people assume. Some foods eaten are animals found in water like walruses, fish, and crabs. They also eat some food brought from stores -- chips, popcorn.

There are many popular tourist attractions in Alaska. Some of these include Glacier Bay National Park, Denali National Park and Preserve, and Kenai Fjords National Park.

Very much like they are eating in Peoria, Waco or Tampa. True, they may be getting a bargain on Salmon Steaks but they pay through the nose for good prime Rib. It isn't all Mooseburgers and Reindeer sausage, you can even get a Big Mac or a Pizza if that suits your taste.

The local seafood may be one of the few dining bargains in Alaska. Generally the foods of Peoria, Waco and Tampa are also the common foods of Fairbanks, Anchorage and Juneau. Some residents may be Pizza Fans while others stick to the Big Mac. Some prefer Green Chile to Red and some take their Chile with beans and some without. It is really unlikely that you will find a Mooseburger on the menu or a street vendor offering Walrus on a stick and Baked Alaska has nothing to do with Alaska.
