They don't like to hear the truth.
People that don't like to go to church aren't really called anything.
Perhaps you and your husband and your child can have a family discussion of the reasons for either going to church or not going to church, and then the child can decide which option he or she prefers. If your husband dislikes church, is there some other family activity that he would like to do on Sundays? Consider your options.
people went on crusades for many reasons like to please god, to runaway from the law, get more land or help their reputation
Going to Church
Merchants, trades people and the poor. Often nuns and priests, anyone who wanted to escape religious changes they did not like, many were church related people - they wanted to start a new life that met with their beliefs.
The Church's role has always been to bring God to the people and the people to God. If you want a more specific answer, you are going to have to ask a more specific question, like a country, etc.
Going to church simply makes you a church-goer :) Not a Christian. But for the sake of the question, people are people, and do what they want, regardless of God's commandment, even Christians do this. Many people just see Christians as people trying to be "God-like". Granted we are, because God taught us to be Christ-Like (definition of Christian~) but we aren't perfect like He is. So His will isn't necessarily peoples top priority.
no
it was disputed for one because people didn't like the idea of a draft, and because they didn't like the reasons why we were going to war
A:THere are many reasons Christians judge others harshly. People like others to be like them, so if they see church as important in their lives, they expect others to do likewise. Some feel that non-attendance at church will lead to moral decay, in spite of the evidence to the contrary. In Ireland, up until the late twentieth century, there was a stigma in not going to mass, but now some commentators say there is a stigma in going to mass. This change of attitude comes about in large part as a result of the publicity given to allegations of widespread paedophilia among the clergy.
Some do like it and some don't. If they identify themselves as Christian they likely enjoy going to church.
William built churches so the people, bishops and archbishops would like him and if the archbishops liked him then they might say that god likes William so then the people have to like William. One of the other reasons William got involved in the church was because they were very wealthy.
