Some of the basic beliefs in Christianity sects are:
5. There are significant disagreements among some sects about the Trinity [the nature of God the Father, His Son, Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost]. Some believe that they are all the same person. Others believe that they are separate beings, one in all ways except physical identity.
Its main points include: belief in God the Father, Jesus Christ as the Son of God and the Holy Spirit, the death, descent into hell, resurrection, and ascension of Christ, the holiness of the Church and the communion of saints, Christ's second coming, the Day of Judgment and salvation of the faithful. The ten commandments also play a major role in Christianity.
The most important beliefs in Christianity are the understanding of who God is, who we are, and why we need what He has done for us. The best (and one of the earliest) statements of this is what is known as the Nicene Creed:
We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen. We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, light from light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one Being with the Father; through him all things were made. For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven, was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary and became truly human. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered death and was buried. On the third day he rose again in accordance with the Scriptures; he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father [and the Son], who with the Father and the Son is worshiped and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets. We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen.
Most churches will have a statement of faith that covers these issues:
1) God
2) The Bible
3) Jesus
4) Man
5) Sin
6) Grace/Salvation
7) Heaven & Hell
8) The Church

The basic beliefs of Christianity are all based on the Holy Bible. Some branches have changed things or added to the Bible, but orthodox Christianity holds the Bible as the only basis and the only truth in Christianity.
The major beliefs of Christianity began with the life and teachings of Jesus Christ Himself. These are particularly centered on the death and resurrection and their meaning to his followers.
it was a religious movement and helped brake away from Christianity and create new beliefs.
