Answer 1Islam holds that all four of its holy books, the Taurat (Torah), Zabur (Psalms), Injil (Gospel), and Qur'an, are the revelations of God (which is called Allah in Arabic and Gott in German). However, the current copies of the Torah, Psalms, and Gospel from the Christian Bible are considered by Muslims to have been corrupted by Jews and Christians and, therefore, only the Qur'an is an accurate copy of God's words as opposed to having human taints.

However, Muslims have never presented any document that would serve as their understanding of what the original Taurat, Zabur, or Injil contained. This is especially problematic for the Injil, since Muslims believe that this was a document revealed by Jesus, but we have no evidence of any writing attributed to Jesus (unlike the attribution of the Pentateuch to Moses and the Psalms to Kings David and Solomon).

Answer 2 (Islamic Perspective):Islam in its universal sense that means submission to God; the Creator) considers all God prophets are calling for Islam; that means submission to God as the one and only one God with no partners, no associate, and no equivalence. Accordingly, all God books including Zabour, Torah, Injil (or The Bible) and; of course; Qur'an are considered Islamic holy books. However, it is important to point out that Muslims; as followers of Islam per Qur'an revelation to prophet Muhammad; follow onlt the teachings and rules of Qur'an besides the teachings of prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

It remains few hints on Answer 1 above:

  • The alterations introduced into previous God holy books are mentioned in Qur'an God holy book. For example it is mentioned that Jesus (peace be upon him) never said that he is God or son of God.
  • Muslims never say or believe that Injil (or the Bible or the Gospel) document is revealed by Jesus. The current versions of the Bible are written hundreds of years after Jesus and included some alterations than the original God revelations to Jesus.
  • Qur'an was revealed to prophet Muhammad after around 600 years of the Bible revelation to Jesus. How one can expect to find the original revelations of the Bible or Torah especially that these documents were never left available in public but were not available to the leading religious people.

Is there a book of the real Taurat and Injil without the Scriptural Corruptions according to Islam?

no Besides the Quran, the jewish Taurat is the closest you'll find and the Injil isn't really a book that was commissioned by Jesus to be written down. The Quran promotes certain tests in order to determine if the scripture is truly from Allah. That is that there should be no errors in it , and that no party (except Allah) can produce similar or better than it.

What 4 books make up the qur'an?

The quran is a book. It is not made up of other books.

Is the sacred book of the Muslims is called the Plus?

No. There is no holy book called "the Plus". Muslims have the Qur'an as their central holy book. They also accept the holiness of the Taurat, Zabur, and Injil, which roughly correspond with the Torah, Psalms, and Gospel (although there are slight differences between the Jewish and Christian versions of these texts).

Is the Qur'an a book of Muhammad's teachings?

# Allah has sent down to a number of Messengers, Books in order to proclaim them to mankind. # These Books contain the Words of Allah. # Among them are the Sheets of Ibrahim (Abraham), Taurat revealed to Moosa (Moses), Az-Zabour (psalms) revealed to Dawood (David), The Injil (Gospel) revealed to Isa (Jesus), And The Qur'an sent down to Muhammad, (Peace be upon them all). # Jews and distorted some parts of their Books (Taurat and Injil). # Being the last Book assuredly guarded from corruption, The Qur'an confirms the truth in the previous Books and guards it. # Whatever, in those Books, differs from The Qur'an is corrupted or abrogated. # Allah (Glory be to Him) says: "To you We sent the scripture in truth Confirming the scriptures that came before it, And guarding it..." [The Qur'an 5:48]. # Allah revealed The Qur'an in Arabic and has firmly promised to protect. His last Message from all corruption; He says about The Qur'an: "We have, without doubt, sent down the Message, and We will assuredly guard it (from corruption)" [The Qur'an 15:9]

Why are there Muslim holy books other than the qur'an?

Although Islam is the Holy Book and believed to be the exact word of God, Muslims also follow the Hadith of the prophet Muhammad peace be upon him. Hadith are the words of Muhammad himself that were written by the companions of the prophet. The most trusted and authentic hadith are narrated by Bukhari, Muslim, Dawud and Malik. The most authentic and trusted Hadith are put into books. There are thousands and thousands and thousands of Hadith and not all are authentic. There are many fabricated by the Kufar and enemies of Islam.

What are the supplementary sacred texts of Islam?

In addition to the Qur'an (قرآن) there are:Other Divine Sources:Taurat (توراة) - Torah, Zabur (زبور) - Psalms, Injil (إنجيل) - GospelsThe main holy book of Islam is the Quran (Koran); they also believe in the Taurat (Jewish Torah); Zabur (Psalms); and Injil (Christian Gospels) though to many Islamic scholars only the Qur'an is considered to be flawlessly accurate. The Taurat was sent to Moses (pbuh) to teach Jewish people about Islam. The Zabur was sent to Dawud (pbuh) the King of the Israelites. The Injil was sent to Isa or known as Jesus (pbuh) in Christianity to teach the Christians about Islam. This made it so that when the Qur'an was revealed to the prophet Muhammed (pbuh), he could teach the whole of humanity about Islam.Muslims believe that each of these three sources has been altered by Jews and Christians who wished to alter the text for advantage in this life. The Qur'an was an attempt to correct these errors and has primacy. However, if the Qur'an does not speak to or against an event in the Taurat, Zabur, or Injil, it is considered "unaltered".Other Islamic Sources or Sunna: Not Holy Per Se, But Important LiteratureHadiths (حديث) and Sirat An-Nabi (سيرة النبي) - Biography of the Prophet [Mohammed]It is important to note that these additional Islamic sources are not considered to be Divine Revelations of any kind. The speeches of the Messenger and the stories about him are not considered holy. Their importance stems from the example that Mohammed set in his capacity of the final Prophet of God. They were not protected or preserved by God from manipulation or change.Hadiths -- OccurrencesHadiths are teachings and sayings of the Prophet Mohammed which are considered to have very strong weight in confirming the traditions and proper behavior of Muslims. However, there was about 100 years between the Prophet's death and the aggregation of these sayings. Therefore, leading Islamic scholars of the day had to sort through the Hadiths to figure out which were legitimate and which were not. Nearly every scholar ruled that the overwhelming majority of supposed Hadiths were actually forgeries and agreed generally on which Hadiths were legitimate. It is important to note that the different schools in Islam (Hanafi, Hanbali, Maliki, and Shafi'i are distinguished primarily by which Hadiths they see as legitimate and which they do not.)The two most authoritative Hadith collections are Sahih Al-Bukhari and Sahih Al-Muslim.Sirat An-Nabi -- Biggraphy of the ProphetProphet Mohammed is seen as an exemplar for all Muslims. Therefore, his biography, as written by Ibn Ishaq, is often used as another basis of Islamic Law.Suhuf-e-Ibrahim -- Scrolls of AbrahamThe Scrolls of Abraham are a piece of writing attributed to Abraham that the Qur'an makes reference to. However, there are no known extant copies of the exact text.Nahj Al-Balagha -- The Peak of EloquenceThis is a book that is used exclusively in Shiite Islam and is claimed to have put together by Sharif Razi (a Shiite Scholar). The name means the "Peak of Eloquence" and is a collection of sermons, letters, tafsirs (Qur'anic interpretations) and narrations attributed to Caliph 'Ali.
