You obviously have no understanding of either analog or digital systems.

• in analog systems it is impossible to get accuracy much beyond 2 decimal digits without going to extraordinarily expensive means, cost for each extra digit rises faster than a square function
• in digital systems you can get any accuracy desired, cost of each extra digit is identical

If the value 0.5 (or any other fraction) is expected in a digital system... just include fraction bits!

The only real advantages analog has over digital (if you don't need accuracy or repeatability, which are advantages of digital) is that it is usually simpler/cheaper to build as it requires fewer componentsand gives results almost instantly.
