What are the advantages and disadvantages of gravitational energy?

However, harvesting it is not as efficient as other forms of energy and can be very expensive.Also transportation is a form of mechanical energy and transportation uses fossil fuels and they are not renewable and cause pollution.

When the mechanical energy is controlled or its effect predictable, it can be useful and advantageous to have. Gravitational energy is made through falling objects and is very cost efficant. sadly the falling objects sometimes cause huge damages
