There are no "advantages" for the roman catholic dogma, in the same way that there are no "advantages" for any other religious dogma. Everyone believes to what he/she wants because of his/her free will and not because of a possible advantage that would give him. By the way, the first Christian dogma was the Christian Orthodox dogma (which is now continued by the Greek-Orthodox dogma in the Eastern Christian Church).

Roman Catholic AnswerBecause all Christians belong to the Catholic Church: The Catholic Church is the Christian Church that was established by Our Blessed Lord on the Apostle Peter (see St. Matthew's Gospel, chapter 16: 17-19), then the Church was born from the blood and water that flowed from His Side as He hung dead on the cross and was pierced by the soldier. Later it was shown to the world at Pentecost with the descent of the Holy Spirit. Our Blessed Lord promised to be with St. Peter and his successors and guaranteed that the gate of Hell would not prevail against them, and that His Church would survive until the end of the world. People who deny the Catholic Church are basically calling Our Blessed Lord a liar who was unable to fulfill His Promises. Protestants are Christians insofar as they are validly baptized and believe in the Nicene Creed, they are actually members of Christ's Catholic Church, although invisibly and in a hampered manner. Protestants who are not baptized validly and do not believe in the Nicene Creed in its traditional interpretation are misusing the word "Christian".

You know that you are truly and forever loved by God and this love will never go away, you experience true happiness, you find your meaning in life, you know that there is someone ALWAYS there with you, there are too many more advantages to list, I can't think of all of them right now.

Roman Catholic AnswerTo the best of my knowledge, there are no material or temporal advantages to being a Catholic. Catholic simply means that you belong to the only Church that Our Blessed Lord founded so that you can KNOW, beyond a shadow of a doubt that you are following Him, and doing what He has asked of you. You can know that you are receiving grace if you participate worthily in the sacraments, go regularly to confession and Holy Communion, and pray constantly. Catholicism does not promise beyond a shadow of a doubt that you are saved, like so many other "Christian" religions but you can certainly have a moral certainty of it if you are following Our Blessed Lord in His Church. Catholics believe that they are judged by Our Blessed Lord by the state of their soul when they die, as this is what He taught, and His Apostles, especially St. Paul. The advantages of being a Catholic are that it is the best way to prepare for that all important moment for which the devil saves up his best assaults, knowing that before then you can repent and change.

It's just Catholic, not Roman Catholic. Roman is an epithet first commonly used in England after the protestant revolt to describe the Catholic Church. It is never used by the official Catholic Church.

The most special thing about the Catholic Church is that:

1) It is the Mystical Body of Christ.

2) It is the only Church which was founded by Christ.

3) It is the only Church which is headed by Christ's personal Vicar, appointed by Him.

4) It is the only Church guaranteed by Him.

5) It is the only Church guided by the Holy Spirit.

6) It is the only Church that wrote, published, and guaranteed The Bible.

7) It is the only Church in which salvation can be found.
