The homosexuality spoken of in The Bible, is 90% of the time talking about Temple Prostitution. Temple Prostitution was a normal, everyday thing during Christs time. It was a quick, easy way to bring in money to the Temple and it was a required job for novice Priests and Priestesses. Take the examples of the Temple of Elagabalus or the Temple of Priapus (still active today). Both of these religions were based on Phallic worship (worship of a man's junk.) Both of the Temples had male prostitutes for Priests, who, if you gave them so much as a penny for a donation, had to commit sex acts. Temple Prostitution ran for around 1,000 years or so and was condemned in the Bible, even in ancient Jerusalem, in the Temple of Yahweh/Jehovah! Homosexuality is a normal part of Nature, it is not a normal part of today's Religious experience. So, yes, homosexuality is normal. However, it is not a part of Christianity simply because Christians are to "set themselves apart from the World." If something is Worldly, God rejects it, and Temple Prostitution was normal then. That doesn't make gays bad, or Christians good, it simply means God doesn't need or want it in his worship.

∙ 8y agoChristianity as the largest religious group worldwide - 2.1 billion adherents - has varying beliefs about homosexuality. But a true Christian is to follow the instructions in the Bible and imitate the life of Christ on earth - in other words be His disciple.
With that being said, the Bible is very explicit that any type of behavior which deviates from His Law 'is not right.' They are 'unrighteous' in the eyes of God. No matter how one tries to interpret the Scripture to be more in line with their desired behaviors, it will never make it so. Sex is a gift from God to teach a husband & wife how to become 'one flesh' as the Father & the Son are One in each other. It is also a way for humankind to share in the 'making' of more children who also will glean this knowledge. It is not for any other state of relationship:

One last point - Only God condemns. He has plainly told us His expectations and has provided a path for each of us to wash ourselves clean by the blood of His Son, Jesus. We have free will so the choice is ours alone. All have sinned and fallen short but it is God's will that no one is lost.
