Due to better facilities in cities, people move from village to cities. Enlarging city population is causing many environmental problems.

1. Number of vehicles on roads increases tremendously. The atmosphere gets polluted by dust and the smoke emitted by vehicles.

2. More houses are needed many people are forced to live in slums. This situation causes many social problems.

3. Useful agricultural land is used for residential.

4. Domestic and industrial wastes cause pollution for air, water and land.

5. These are epidemics and diseases in congested and over-crowded localities because in such areas these are poor civic and hygiene facilities.
