With a manual camera, all exposure functions are set with manual controls, though manual cameras may have built-in light measuring devices. Point and Shoot cameras can fall into a variety of categories from the simplest box camera to very complex automated exposure and focus systems requiring little or no input from the user. Manual cameras generally demand more knowledge and experience to use successfully.

An automatic camera adjusts shutter speed and lens aperture (exposure) always, and may focus the lens as well. A manual camera requires that you do those settings yourself, but gives you much more control over the results if you know what you're doing.

Automation, with options for manual control, is pretty much the norm nowadays in both film and digital cameras. In both, there may be no provision for full manual control at all in less-expensive cameras, but there is usually "programmed" control, where the camera can be set for certain conditions of lighting and sometimes subject movement.

For all-around use, automatic cameras work well. I have a professional grade digital camera, and rarely use it manually except in quite unusual circumstances, such as lenses that do not support the automated functions, or in difficult lighting or focus situations. I do, however, make extensive use of the programmed functions, including those that can be custom-programmed.

For film, however, I prefer full manual control, as do most professionals. High-end professional film cameras such as Hasselblad, Mamiya and the sort -- those that sell in the 10's of thousands of dollars -- have fewer, if any, automated functions. They are not needed in studio cameras, where focus lighting and exposures are predetermined, and most professionals are so accustomed to manual settings that they make them without thinking much about it.

A manual camera might be a little trickier to use than an automatic camera, but it allows you more control automatic exposure camera, it will keep being attractive for us eternally while a digital camera (or digicam) is a camera that takes video or still photographs, or both, digitally by recording images via an electronic image sensor.

Digital illustration is rendered in part or full on a computer using an illustration program. *Some artists do a 'basic drawing' on paper, scan it into the computer and flesh it out with the program. Manual illustration is rendered solely with utensils like pencils, pens and brushes. It is a much more permanent form of art requiring lots of skill and patience because with manual illustration there is no 'edit undo' key. *see Adi Granov (comic book artist)

2000 maxima with manual climate control will a digital unit work?

It will require a great deal of modification, because the digital one requires a different type of sensor. It's not a plug-and-play swap. In my opinion, it's more trouble then its worth. It might be better to stick with the manual, as it is easier to operate.
