Leather couches are low maintenance and resist spills and stains easier than a fabric couch. Be careful with ink pens and sharp edges that can scratch or cut the couch. Invest in a leather repair kit if purchasing a leather couch.
Had my sectional leather couch for 3 years and I have found it to be average at best. The Macys "warranty" is completely useless. Have a shotty section of leather and broken fasteners and refused delivery of the ottoman because it looked terrible. Good luck.
