The adult hippo's only real enemy (other than man) is his mate. They bite, maim, and kill each other. The bulls fight over females in breeding season.
Some people say that the main enemies of the hippo are crocodiles, lions and hyenas but I don't think they would dare attack an adult hippo.
Not much can live and take on a hippo. I did see on Animal Planet a crock take a baby hippo from it's mother, but she gave him a fight. They are really mean animals and hundreds of humans each year are attacked and killed by hippos.
Mainly lions. The two species compete for many of the same prey species, and the bigger lion will kill hyenas. Hyenas retaliate by mobbing lions with overwhelming numbers, and driving the cats away.
Leopards also compete with hyenas, but this solo hunter usually will drag it's prey up a tree, out of reach of hyenas. A solitary hyena would have no chance against a determined leopard, but hyenas usually travel in groups, and will steal the leopard's prey if it is too large to lift into the trees.
only rats
different hyenas
mice.
Lions, and probably hyenas.
Lions and Hyenas eat the kittens.
The elephant's main enemy is man. Although hyenas and lions are known to attack them as well.
Actually spotted hyenas and lions are actually mortal enemies because they are in direct competition for resources. Leopards are less dangerous to spootted hyenas because their solitary nature limits their ability to prove a serious threat to a clan of hyenas. The more solitary brown or striped hyenas may be more susceptible to Leopard attacks.
Lion, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, wild dogs, pythons and crocodiles (at the watering point) could all be predators of impalas.
The tiger's only enemy as an adult are humans, but cubs are vulnerable to a variety of dangers, including leopards, hyenas, and male tigers that are not their father.
Hyena's usually steal food away from leopards and they get mad, so thats why they ended up being their eneimes.
Humans are the greatest enemy of wild pangolins. Thousands are illegally trafficked each year for there scales and meat.
The biggest enemy of the leopard is the bigger and stronger lion. ... The Lion is probably the biggest enemy of the Leopard and a fight to the death will ensue when they come into contact. Hyenas and Baboons have also been known to attack and kill Leopards, in particular the young cubs.
Man is the leopards worst enemy, and it is sometimes killed by lions and tigers.Crocodiles, farmer or hunter with gun, hyenas, lions, and adult gorillas etc.
no hyenas are not ugly
