Re: There are no "exact" requirements, however act composites generally need to be in the low 30's and sat's in the 700's. Yale does look at all aspects of the admissions including highscool records, teacher recommendations, and personal essays. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Actually there are lots of requirements, whoever wrote that crap above: Sat scores 700-800 Act Composite: 30-34 Admission Requirements for transfers: - High School Transcript -College Transcript -Essay or Personal Statement -Standarized Test Scores -Statement of good standing from prior institutions - Not Required: Interview - Lowest grade earned for any course that may be transferred for credit (on a 4.0 scale): 2.0 -Maximum credits/courses from 2-year institution: 18 - Maximum credits/courses from 4-year institution: 18

---

And whoever wrote the above crap, there is nothing you can do that will guarantee acceptance to Yale. I know people who got into Harvard with 1700 SAT, failing all their AP tests, etc. The biggest thing you can do to help yourself is writing a wicked essay.

Most admitted candidates have well over a 3.75 and 172+ at a bare minimum. Even people with 180/4.0 manage to get rejected, so you need more than that - a challenging major, good work or volunteer experience, and an interesting story for your essay.

== == Yale does not list required classes, so you should just stick to the general advice of taking lots of hard classes in the core classes. As a general rule of thumb, you should take at least 4 English units, 3 Social Studies, 3 Sciences with 2 of these being Lab Sciences (like Biology or Chemistry), 2 Foreign Language, and 3 Math (Algebra, Geometry, and other Advanced Math). You might also find it helpful to take a class in computers.

Work hard. You need almost a perfect GPA and LSAT scores. Make sure you get at least a 175 on the LSATs the FIRST TIME you take them. Also Yale only counts the first time you take a class as well so if you got a C+ in a class your freshman year and retake it as a senior the will count the C+. Use this website for clarification.

All you need to know is the address. The Human Resources Department is open to visitors at its public reception desk.
