There are two types of angels the good and the bad angels, or fallen angels.

Per Islam religion, all angels are good angels who are fully submitting to God and never disobeys God commands. There are :
- angels who are assigned by God to convey His messages to His prophets,
- angels who are counting on every one his goods and bads,
- angels who are assigned for God worship and asking forgiveness for the faithful people
- and others who I don't know

∙ 11y agoWell, there are messenger Angels, Guardian Angels, companion Angels, Mission angels, Angels of grace, Angels of growth, Harmony Angels, outdoor Angels (fairies, gnomes, elves dryads eta, Angels of balance, Angels of compassion and love.

Tertiaphim, Omniaphim, and Seconaphim - operate from Heaven to Earth and beyond in various assistant roles
Supernaphim - operate close to Heaven and rarely enter the domains of Earth
Seraphim - Guardians to humans and owners of a human's lost potentials. Their objective is to guard human souls from the influence of evil, and help humans live forever.
Cherubim - Assistant to Seraphim, these loving beings are very close to humans in their intellect and structure.
Sanobim - Very much the same as Cherubim, they work always in pairs...one Cherubim, and one Sanobim.

∙ 7y agoCatholics believe in guardian angels, as do some other Christians. Then, in Genesis there are Cherubim, which appear to have had two wings, the bodies of lions and the heads of humans. Seraphim ('the ones that burn') are mentioned in the Book of Isaiah as having six wings. Belief in up to seven archangels appears to have begun in the Babylonian Exile and developed in the inter-testamental period. The Urantia Book more recently gives us a whole new set of types of angels but few Christians would accept these definitions.
One ought to wonder why God needs angels at all, if he is omniscient and omnipotent, then wonder why various traditions identify so many different kinds of angels. The alternatives are:
- If God is omniscient and omnipotent, there is no reason for angels to help us. They would not perform a function that God could not do easily, so why would God need angels, and why would he need more than one kind of angel anyway?
- If God does not exist, angels are most unlikely to exist. And there is no proof that God exists.
Therefore the likelihood of different kinds of angels existing is about zero.
