I think it highly unlikely that Marco Valastro is Buddy's biological son. Both Buddy and his wife have naturally Brunette hair color and naturally brown eyes. It is possible that the child could have inherited more than one of the parents' recessive genes however, as I've stated above, it would be very highly unlikely that the child would receive not one but two recessive genes from parents who share the same dominant genes. Both Blonde hair color and Blue eye color are recessive to brown hair and brown eyes which are dominant in both parents. In photos of both of Buddy's parents, they both have the dominant brown eye color. I would side more on the position that Marco is not adopted however, he is also not biologically Buddy's child. Whether Buddy has questioned this himself is unknown but personally, I would think it foolish not to question it. If it were me, I would most certainly question the probability of that child being mine and recognize the chances as being slim. While I would always treat the child as my own, I still feel that I would deserve to know the truth. I think it foolish when couples hide behind the blanket of "trust" in situations such as this one where the odds are stacked against Buddy that the child is his own. People use it as such a method of guilting their spouse out of the truth and I dislike that. I would have to explain to my wife that I love her more than anything but that being that the child looks so unlike me, having not a single feature of my own and having genes that even had I possessed them, the odds of two of them manifesting amongst parents with such dominant genes is a cause for concern for me. If she tried to turn it into a trust issue I'd be forced to point out that if she really loved me, cared about how I felt, cared about my confidence in my self as her spouse and knew without a doubt that the child was mine, that given the circumstances of the child having absolutely no resemblance to me, getting a simple blood test to ease my concerns should not be a problem.
