you need strong listening skills, cause if you miss important info about the patients symptoms or history you could give an incorrect diagnoses. This could cause a life or death situation. They also need to have strong communication skills-written and speaking. You should also be able to interact with people easily...no awkwardness. This isn't really a skill but you should be able to remain confident or the patient won't trust you.

Some of the skills needed to be a medical doctor is the ability to go to school and do well academically for a number of years. An interest in people and desiring to heal is also important. A doctor must be patient and detail oriented as well as a good listener.

To become a doctor you need to be good in science and math and to have good grades in high school. After high school you need to enroll in college and get a 4 year degree, then you need to be accepted into a medical degree program at a university and go another 4 years of medical school. Finally, you will serve an internship in a hospital. If you make it through all the schooling, testing, and internship you will be a doctor after 12+ years of college.
