I think the main "social issue" in The Outsiders, by S.E. Hinton is the battle between the social classes. On one hand you have the privileged Socs, and on the other, the Greasers. This is a source of tension throughout the novel, ultimately causing the demise of Dally.
Hope this helps!
1. Pony and Dally went to the hospital and there Johnny died.
2. Greasers had a big rumble with greasers won.
3. Dally went crazy when Johnny was dead.
4. Johnny told Pony to "stay gold."
The problem is that the Greasers get in the way and dont treat ponyoy right, eventhough ponyboy wanted erything in his life normal.
The solution is that after the greasers win, ponyboy learns a valuable lesson in his life.
The problem in the outsiders is the gang rivalry between the poor greasers and the rich high class socs. Both gangs are trying to be on top or to be the best gang known
the socs hate the greasers and the greasers hate them back. this is what causes problems in the book.

For every problem there is a solution to the problem, just as you can have a key to a lock. However for a problem you have a special solution for the problem just as you have a key made for a particular lock.
It is a solution.
A solution is the answer to a problem. For example, in a math problem a solution is this: 5w=25 w= 5

A problem and a solution are not synonyms or antonyms, but rather concepts that are related. A problem is a challenge or difficulty that needs to be solved, while a solution is the resolution or answer to that problem. They are not homophones, as they do not sound alike.
